‘Paris Café,’ The Division Red’s new single from their upcoming LP Chroma Compute is worthy of repeated plays. Darkwave beats and passionate vocals evoke everything from the classic synth rock of Ultravox to electronic pop music of 2024.

Vocalist/instrumentalist Daniel Houlemarde’s alto/soprano voice is more than agile,  while Colin Fraizer’s contributions to beats and electronics shape a sound that is instantly classic. “Paris Café’ is about the sense of loss following a chance romantic meeting in France. The sounds are vintage analog, with lots of space for the synthesizers, drums and vocals to shine.

Chroma Compute is the second full length album by The Division Red, following their 2019 debut The Speed of Light and their EP of 2020 Arcade. Chroma Compute will release on March 31st.

The Division Red are an American duo, from Pasadena, California.
