From the psychedelic flute solo of the intro to the melodic synth beats throughout, Metamorph’s “Woo Woo” captures the imagination. Singer/songwriter Margot Day, known for casting her magic spell with audiences fronting New York goth band The Plague is now leading Metamorph, delivering.a poppy twist on the goth genre. “Woo Woo” is a song produced by Erik Gustafson of Adoration Destroyed.

“Woo Woo” is an irresistibly fun tune, with electronic beats and electronic instruments expertly mixed and mastered to pop perfection. Day’s vocals are on point, and her flute solo at the intro and also after the third chorus demonstrate that despite the reputation of goth music as dark and dreary, Metamorph is in it for the fun. And though Day is a serious practitioner of witchcraft, she’s not out to cause harm.

In a video created by PSYKLON Productions and captured by Victoria Zolonoski, we find Day in full goth attire, specifically in Catwoman mode, resembling Michelle’s Pfieffer’s portrayal of the character in the 1992 film Batman Returns. And for more fun, there’s a cute black cat (don’t let her cross your path!)

In a previous interview for Synthbeat.com, Day has revealed that her spells are never designed to cause harm – and in a brand new interview for PopularCultureBeat.com, she tells me more about her inspiration and collaborations with Gustafson. “Woo Woo” is certainly one of Metamorph’s most intoxicating musical spells, worthy of repeated listens.
