As  the year closes, I am reminded of times spent listening to and writing about wonderful music in the past year. One release from last December seems particularly appropriate to ‘replay’ as 2021 ends. With its nostalgic, ethereal air, The Analog Girl’s “Virtual Vacation” conjures up visions of sugarplums, lovely lighted trees, precious gifts and a warm hearth.

“I can’t believe it has been a year since the release of ‘Virtual Vacation.’ Even though life sometimes may seem to have come to a standstill (2021 I am looking at you), let’s continue expanding our minds and opening our hearts with every piece of art, every treasured conversation, and every chance encounter that we may have.”

“Here’s wishing all readers of Synthbeat.com peace and joy for 2022! We appreciate your support.” Mei Wong, The Analog Girl, writing from Singapore.
